Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tom, and I’m one of TheDean316’s newest feature writers. This is basically just going to be a short piece where I tell you a little about myself and what I’m hoping and planning for with this. If you don’t care, that’s all well and good. You’re on the Internet so go look at pictures of kitties in hats or whatever you people do.
Still here? Awesome. Pull up a couch/beanbag/cushion/whatever and let me tell you a little about myself.
First off I fully admit I have absolutely no background in journalistic writing and no training whatsoever. I enjoy writing and videogames but writing ABOUT videogames is all new to me so please forgive if I make stupid errors here and there. Well, forgive and correct since obviously if I’m not aware I’m making mistakes I won’t know they’re there at all.
Secondly, my writing style tends to be rather free-flowing and conversational. I also like flowery prose and tangents, although I’ll try to keep that to a minimum in the more reviewy pieces. I’m also English so I like surreal humour, dry humour and… Well, just humour in general.
What I’m thinking of creating for this site is a series with the tentative working title of Going Forward, Looking Back where I play older games with the eyes of a newer gamer and critique how well they hold up. I’ll be accepting suggestions and requests, but I’d prefer to start out with stuff that I’ve bought but not yet played.
If you want to contact me, feel free to leave a comment below my articles or alternatively aim a tweet @ tomdelada or email me tomdeladawrites(at)Gmail . com. I’d love to hear constructive criticism and feedback or idea you’d like to see in future features.
Enjoy the site, enjoy the content, and most of all enjoy life!
